Had a fine stay during Friday night, loved staff and location. It had plenty of meals for breakfast, including scrambled eggs, cereal and cakes.

Wi-Fi was very poor, uninspiring views and air conditioning was a bit noisy.

All reasonably clean, very good staff and food.

The staff are highly professional, and there is a beautiful hall to relax in.

Location and rooms were lovely, we truly enjoyed that everything was very good.

The staff were welcoming, the bed was really big and the food was outstanding.

We liked hotel's staff and location. The property was located near to the racecourse and train station and city centre...

The venue was poorly maintained, however I truly enjoyed its excellent location and facilities. Affable employees were at the reception desk.

Well Wi-Fi was very poor, and there was not great bed in my room.

I liked my stay, high value for money. My 1 night in York were very nice.

We appreciated the comfortable furniture and unbeatable location. Our room was not only airy, but also basic double. They had an early check-in too. Warm drinks, free wifi were a nice surprise. It was an excellent experience in a lovely hotel😀

Immaculately clean, lovely old hotel, fab location.

Super staff, beautiful building, immaculate rooms. Dinner and breakfast food was brilliant. And it also had great view. Attentive service too. Moreover, it had parking nearby.

Amazing stay. A good choice of nice food at breakfast time. Central location, a 10-15 minute walking distance from city centre.

The place was incredibly beautiful, fairly clean, had pleasant food and staff. Found in a lovely area. Besides, York's Chocolate Story was 2 km away from the property. The bed was soft and it was great having armchairs and slippers.

It's a reasonably large hotel, enjoyable breakfast. Near cinema and restaurants.

Absolutely professional staff and a handy location.

Ideal base for 1 night. Staff where helpful and location was good! Private bathroom with all essentials. We greatly enjoyed to have evening drinks at Hotham Arms Pub, based nearby.

Not far from the centre and train station set in walking accessibility, really convenient

In close vicinity to the centre & near to a bus stop with regular buses to take up into town, sheets were clean

the location was very good, about a 15-minute walk from the york train station. we visited national railway museum that was really close to the hotel.

Can’t fault the property in any way.

The breakfast was TASTY and the staff were efficient. Restaurant food was good. Jorvik viking centre was easily accessible, set only 1 km away.

Don’t have any issues at all.
